Why I do what I do at YFC?

I grew up in southern Wisconsin and as a teenager struggled with finding my place and with feeling valued in this world.  A young couple from my church decided they could make a difference in my life.  They listened to my story and shared their story with me.  Most of all, they demonstrated the love of God not only in the words that were spoken, but they showed that love by their actions.  I was moved by the investment they made in my life and figured if this young couple can have that kind of impact on me, maybe I can help other kids who are hurting!

My Hobbies/ Interest?

I love to golf, take walks with my wife, watch football (Green Bay is my team – sorry, Vikings fans!), spend time with my kids and grandkids and connect with close friends.  I love to help people find God’s calling in their lives so it has been fun to see the difference people have made in this ministry – the beauty of the body of Christ working together to accomplish His work.  I love to see the lights go on when a kid finally understands God’s love for them and the new life He offers them!

Family...

My wife, Julie, is an incredible partner to me.  She has been by my side the entire time and is an awesome servant and listener.  She has an incredible heart for all the kids we serve!  We have four grown children, Jessica, Kelly, Kate, and Chris, and nine wonderful grandchildren!
